When is #WearOrange?
Gun violence awareness day is June 5, but events and protests typically occur from the 5th-7th.
All around the United States!
Nationally, all residents should participate in #WearOrange to raise awareness and combat gun violence.
Just wear orange!
Bonus points for posting on social media, signing petitions, and sparking conversation about gun policy :)
Today, gun violence is the leading cause of death for youth, and over 100 people per day are killed by guns.
Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago resident, was shot and killed in 2013, and after her death, her friends wore orange to honor her. Since then, the color orange has defined the movement for gun violence prevention.
Youth and many others want to change the trajectory of our future!
